Looks like aesthetic pros are about to get even busier
Survey says… A Transformative Beauty study found that 51% of surveyed women between the ages of 25 and 74 tried a non-surgical beauty procedure for the first time within past year, 69% feel more positively about non-surgical beauty procedures compared to five years ago, and 80% are considering at least one cosmetic surgery in the next five years. Get ready for a packed schedule!
Let’s hear it for the boys… The men’s aesthetics market is projected to reach $28.345 billion by 2029, with trending treatments including topical solutions, non-surgical treatments, and procedures like forehead reduction, liposuction, and penile enhancement. Now that’s big news.
Keeps gettin’ better… Christina Aguilera is the latest celebrity singing the praises of Xeomin®. Xtina touted the product’s Stripped-down ingredients and natural-looking results. “I like to narrow things down with stuff that feels good and is safe. And with Xeomin, I felt like ingredient-wise it's not a bunch of extra nonsense,” she said.
Skin trends
How many of these have your clients asked about?
Embrace the cycle… New York dermatologist Dr. Whitney Bowe is credited with coining the term “skin cycling”—a process of strategically rotating through skincare products at night to maximize their benefits and give your skin time for recovery. (Fun fact: #skincycling has more than 3.5 billion views across social media platforms.) Every face is different, so this is an area where your clients can really benefit from your expertise in customizing a routine.
Floods ahead… Cue the hyaluronic acid! Dry winter skin needs a heavy dose of hydration, which has opened the floodgates to “skin flooding” — "a popular trend where the skin is given an intense hydration treatment.”
Welcome the clouds… After years of chasing a high-shine visage with strobing and highlighting, matte skin is back with a new name: Cloud Skin. Instead of cakey makeup, this version of the matte look requires a strong skincare routine and a blurring primer.

Treatments, tricks, and remedies people are testing online
That sh*t is bananas: B-A-N-A-N-A-S… In case you were wondering, “there’s no scientific evidence proving that banana peels are an effective wrinkle reduction treatment.”
Don’t believe everything on the Internet… TikTok’s new Bold Glamour filter will make you look like a million bucks, and it doesn’t glitch when you shake your head or touch your face. Researchers are worried about the long-term consequences that could have on mental health and self-esteem.
The 90s called… Gen Z is taking Cherry Coke Hair out for a spin.
