Who’s A Good Candidate for Micro-Penning?

We had a chance to speak with Clinical Aesthetician at SkinSpirit University Village, Adriana DeNunzio about micro-penning and who’d be a perfect candidate for this type of treatment. Turns out, she’s a big fan of micro-penning for both herself and her clients.

What is micro-penning?

Micro-Penning is designed to stimulate a change in the skin, enhancing all other skincare treatments received – as well as allow your skincare products to be more effective. During a micro-penning treatment, a cordless device composed of medical-grade stainless steel is used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin.

These micro-injuries cause the skin to go into repair mode and prompt the body to produce collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are important building blocks to healthy, radiant skin. The more you have, the healthier your skin will be.

Behind the scenes with Seattle micro-penning expert, Adriana

Adriana has many treatments on her clients since micro-penning was first introduced at SkinSpirit over a year ago. She shared with us that the perfect candidate for micro-penning is anyone who’s concerned about overall aging and wants brighter, younger looking skin. Adriana reports seeing an overall improvement in her client’s skin texture and tone. Micro-penning leaves her clients skin vibrant and even helps reduce their pore size.

Adriana loves how this treatment can give amazing results with very little downtime. “A client might experience some redness up to 24 to 36 hours after receiving a micro-penning treatment. There may be some minimal flaking for a week after treatment, but it can be easily camouflaged with a great moisturizer. What I love most about this treatment is that it stimulates a client’s skin to build brand new collagen and elastin for up to six months after receiving a treatment. Micro-penning is hands down my favorite treatment to perform for my clients!”
